The XIII International Forum «Ecology» was held on May 23-24, 2022 in Moscow at the venue of the World Trade Center.
The main theme of the Forum was the formation of the further way of ecological development of Russia in the period of economic turbulence and sanctions restrictions.
The event was held with the support and participation of the State Duma members, representatives of relevant ministries and agencies.
The Forum was opened by Nikolay Valuev, Chairman of the Public Council of ANO Centre of Assistance to Environmental Initiatives Ecology (ANO CSPI Ecology), Head of the Expert Council for the Development of Specially Protected Natural Areas under the Ministry of Natural Resources, Member of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
I am grateful to everyone here for wanting to work with us together. We are now at the stage of restructuring geopolitical processes. Russia is in the spotlight. Sanctions affect eco-trends, but Russia will fulfill all its obligations on environmental protection and the national project "Ecology". In the final resolution, we will certainly take into account all the opinions that will be expressed during the days of discussion

The discussion programme of the Forum was supplemented by the exhibition of advanced ecological technologies, green economy goods, discoveries and solutions of the companies, adopting ecological approach to business and lifestyle.
The industry will not give up on ecologization. Until 2024 it is supposed to set resource and energy efficiency indicators with a reduction in the consumption of natural resources. The strategies were agreed with colleagues from the Ministry of Economic Development, key agencies and business. To facilitate the transition to eco-rails, a number of systemic changes in legislation were adopted

The outcome of the forum will be a public resolution, which consolidates the proposals of participants in environmental activities to improve legislation and state policy. The document regularly becomes the basis for bills and regional and federal decisions relating to the environment.
